Important: By ordering, using or renewing any VortexHost service, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and any service-specific rules shown at checkout.
Terms of Service
1. About these Terms
These Terms apply to all services supplied by VortexHost, including web hosting, WordPress hosting, game hosting, domain-related services, support services and any other hosting products we make available.
2. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for the content, files, scripts, software, users, plugins, game servers, databases and activity connected to your account. You must keep passwords secure, maintain appropriate backups and ensure your use of the service complies with UK law and our Acceptable Use Policy.
3. Payments and Renewals
Services must be paid for in advance. Renewal invoices must be paid by the due date to avoid suspension or termination. Prices may be changed by giving reasonable notice, but existing paid service periods will not be shortened because of a price change.
4. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate a service where invoices remain unpaid, where the service causes technical risk, where abuse is reported, or where we reasonably believe the service breaches these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
Abuse, illegal activity, fraud, chargebacks, harassment, phishing, malware, spam, DDoS activity, copyright abuse, or serious policy breaches may result in immediate termination without prior notice.
5. No Refunds for Abuse or Breach
Services suspended or terminated for abuse, illegal activity, fraudulent behaviour, chargebacks, excessive resource abuse, or breach of these Terms are not eligible for a refund.
6. Fair Usage and Resources
Hosting resources are shared unless specifically sold as dedicated. You must not use services in a way that negatively affects other customers, network stability, storage systems, email reputation or server performance. We may limit, suspend or request changes to accounts causing excessive load.
7. Backups
We may provide backups on selected services, but backups are not guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing. You remain responsible for maintaining your own independent backups of important data.
8. Domains
Domain registrations, renewals and transfers are subject to the rules of the relevant registry and registrar. Domain fees are normally non-refundable once submitted or renewed.
9. Support
Support is provided for the hosting service itself. We may assist with websites, WordPress, plugins, games, scripts and third-party software where possible, but we are not responsible for maintaining, debugging or securing customer-managed applications unless agreed separately.
10. Liability
We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of data, loss of goodwill or consequential damage. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
